I understand and it’s alright…
If you don’t feel the same.
I hear another name,
Falling from your lips.
Maybe I’m to blame,
For pushing you away.
Simple words I failed to say,
And little things I failed to do…
Gave you no desire to stay.
I admit that in hindsight,
What I couldn’t see before…
Or simply chose to ignore,
To my own detriment…
Helped you decide to explore,
Other options open to you…
In the form of someone new,
Who could fulfill your needs…
Even though my love was true.
